General information about cookies

This website uses cookies. Cookies are text files that contain data from visited websites or domains and are stored by a browser on the user's computer. A cookie is primarily used to store information about a user during or after he visits an online offer. The stored information may include, for example, the language settings on a website, the login status, a shopping cart, or the place where a video was watched. The term cookies also include other technologies that perform the same functions as cookies (e.g. when user information is stored using pseudonymous online identifiers, also referred to as "user IDs").

The following types of cookies and functions are distinguished:

  • Temporary cookies (also: session cookies): Temporary cookies are deleted at the latest after a user has left an online offer and closed his browser.
  • Permanent cookies: Permanent cookies remain stored even after closing the browser. For example, the login status can be saved or preferred content can be displayed directly when the user visits a website again. Likewise, the interests of users used for reach measurement or marketing purposes may be stored in such a cookie.
  • First-party cookies: First-party cookies are set by ourselves and can be managed in the cookie preferences.
  • Third-party cookies: Third-party cookies are mainly used by advertisers (so-called third parties) to process user information.
  • Necessary (also: essential or strictly necessary) cookies: On the one hand, cookies may be necessary for the operation of a website (e.g. to store logins or other user input or for security reasons).
  • Statistical, marketing, and personalization cookies: Furthermore, cookies are usually also used in the context of range measurement and when the interests of a user or his behavior (e.g. viewing specific content, using functions, etc.) on individual websites are stored in a user profile. Such profiles are used to show users, for example, content that corresponds to their potential interests. This procedure is also referred to as "tracking", i.e. tracking the potential interests of users. If we use cookies or "tracking" technologies, we will inform you separately in our privacy policy or as part of obtaining consent.

The user acknowledges that when using the website, cookies are used, which record the previous activities of the user for his convenience and evaluate them for Medzie GmbH. By configuring their browser accordingly, users have the option of preventing the use of cookies. Users can decline the use of cookies by configuring their browser so that cookies cannot be saved on their devices. All details will then be removed from the cookie. You will find information about how to decline and delete cookies in the user instructions of your browser. However, if users activate this setting, some parts of the website may not be able to be accessed or certain functions and services may not be able to be used. Unless users have configured their browser in such a way as to decline cookies, cookies will be transmitted every time such users use Medzie.
